The Pilates Reformer is probably the most famous piece of equipment, used by top athletes and celebrities and we know the reason why. Using the Reformer consistently will dramatically change your body shape. You will notice an increase in your core strength, flexibility and balance. Better stability and relieves joint and back pain.
Invented by Joseph Pilates, the Reformer is a bed-like frame with a flat platform called a carriage that moves back and forth on wheels. The carriage is attached to one end of the reformer by a set of springs. These springs are resistant and adjusted to suit the individual which means you can work at your own level. Our Reformer classes are directed by a qualified Reformer Instructor.
This piece of equipment is versatile, exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing the footbar etc.
The Reformer is challenging but good fun! It’s a full body workout isolating weak muscles.
We offer three different Reformer Classes depending on your ability. Beginners, Intermediate and Combo Mat/Reformer.
If you are new to Pilates / Reformer Pilates we highly recommend you have a 1-2-1 with one our Pilates Instructors. We will be able to work with you at your own pace and ability and for you to become familiar with the Reformer along with exercises, technique and breathing.
A 1-2-1 is also essential if you are recovering from an illness or injury.
