Practicing Pilates can help the process of 9 month pregnancy journey in so many ways: physical benefits, mental benefits, emotional benefits and holistic benefits in order to embrace the change of being an individual to becoming a mother.

The sessions are designed to focus on the balance of strength and flexibility with deep mind-body connection throughout the pregnancy, as well as to prepare the body for childbirth and after delivery. The combination of Mat and Reformer using props to enhance the full benefits of the exercises, working on maintaining core strength, strengthening upper and lower body, practicing breathing techniques, strengthening and stretching the pelvic floor, reducing lower back pain, muscle stiffness, improving posture due to weight gain and shift of gravity during pregnancy

 

*Suitable from the 1st Trimester (0-14 weeks) only if you have been practicing Pilates regularly (an average of once a week). If this is your first pregnancy, please register after the 2nd Trimester (14 weeks+). If you have never done Pilates before, please contact the studio after the 2nd Trimester for an initial enquiry.

[Important] After registration and before the first session, you must provide a letter from your GP confirming your ability to undertake Pilates and sign an Eclectic Pilates Exercise Consent Form.

Nion is a qualified Pre & Post Natal Pilates Instructor who has trained with some of the leading Pilates educators, Ashley Ritchie, Sonje Mayo, and Suzanne Martin, in this field.
